Since 1985, the drivers and members of the MiNi-Train have been voluntarily operating one of Pully’s most popular attractions. Our team maintains, promotes, and runs over 6,000 trains per year, transporting more than one and a half million people since our founding.
Our association offers young people a rewarding activity, instilling railway discipline through active participation in network operations. By developing technical skills applicable to everyday life, they discover a fulfilling and educational passion while building lasting friendships and relationships.
Our drivers are essential to the MiNi-Train’s operation. After an intensive training of around twenty hours covering safety, signalling, driving, manoeuvres, and customer relations, they actively participate in train operations.
A driver will carry out the following activities during a day:
This is a voluntary position; the MiNi-Train offers a selection of drinks and an annual outing for members and drivers. Drivers can sign up from the year they turn 11. Girls are also welcome.
Registrations for 2025 are full.
For 2026, they will open on 1st July 2025 from 7pm.
We place great emphasis on learning and developing skills and responsibilities.
Possible progressions for a driver:
Our members are responsible for the MiNi-Train’s operation. They manage driver teams, sell tickets at the counter, and operate our steam trains.
Members have the following responsibilities:
